If you’re wondering why there are league games on a Thursday (I know I was), it’s a cup round in Sweden this weekend.

Trelleborg v Syrianska

Not much information to go on apart from the visitors having lost all four of their away games without scoring so far this season. It’s not as if Trelleborg have got off to a great start either, but the fact that they’ve scored in all four of their home games indicates a negative outcome for Syrianska, so the recommendation is to lay Syrianska.

Result: Trelleborg 0, Syrianska 1. Fair play, caught the wave just as it broke.

 Djurgården v Elfsborg

Goals bet, but comes with a warning: the last meeting between these two at the Stadion finished 4-4 but that’s a genuine outlier. Ten of the last eleven league games between them in Östermalm have been under 3.5 goals so we’ll back that. 

Result: Djurgården 0, Elfsborg 1

Gefle v Mjällby

Similar kind of game as the one at Djurgarden, last time out these two drew 3-3 but the key stat here appears to be that only one team has scored in Mjallby’s four away games this season. Worth a nibble at the visitors not keeping a clean sheet and but I’m going to come at the goals from the other way round – back over 1.5 in this game.

Result: Gefle 0, Mjällby 0. Sod.
