Not too bad yesterday, although Cibalia’s home defeat served as a reminder that it’s coming to the end of the ‘winter’ leagues as there were a number of surprise results yesterday.
However, it’s still early days in Norway and Sweden and that’s where I’m going today. Low stakes recommended, these are all based on my rough and ready system – it’s only fair to point out that I’m currently breaking even on my Scandinavian bets at the moment but that’s better than making a loss.
IF Elfsborg v AIK Stockholm
Last season’s meeting finished 4-0 to the hosts and although AIK drew 0-0 at Djurgården in their first away game, Elfsborg only lost once at home in the 2010 Allsvenskan and started their season at the Borås Arena with a 2-1 win over Häcken. Recommendation: Elfsborg win.
Result: Elfsborg 2, AIK Stockholm 2 – Elfsborg had to come from two goals behind to earn the draw. Fail.
Odd Grenland v Aalesund
Odd Grenland lost their first home game to current leaders Start but were pretty solid at home last season, losing only three games. Aalesund lost their first away game of the season (0-2 at Vålerenga) and lost the corresponding fixture 2-1 in 2010. Recommendation: I don’t think that Aalesund will win this…lay Aalesund or back Odd Grenland draw no bet.
Result: another come from behind game – Aalesund took the lead twice, but two goals from Frode Johnsen denied the visitors three points. 1-1 for the day.
VALERENGA v Lillestrøm
Talking of Vålerenga…I’ve got them ranked as a top four team this season and they’ve won two of their first three games so far. Lillestrøm are already looking as if they’re going to be a team that are going to be featuring a lot in the over 2.5 goals recommendations – all three of their games so far have been ‘over’ and although that may calm down as the season progresses, it’s worth keeping an eye on. Recommendation: Vålerenga draw no bet.
Result: 1-1. That’s the beauty of draw no bet. Will be back tomorrow.
