Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time this year I give you the (hopefully) corruption free…
I strongly suspect that this won’t be the first time I recommend either backing HJK or opposing whoever they’re playing. HJK are today’s possible home banker.
HJK HELSINKI v Inter Turku
HJK have only lost one of the last ten league meetings in Helsinki – it’s not that Inter are a bad side (they’ve only lost three of their last ten aways in the league) but this looks like one of those games where the visitors are a bit overawed by visiting a ‘big’ club.
Result: HJK 1, Inter Turku 0 – they left it late though!
TPS Turku v Jaro
Hosts have won seven straight home games in their but Jaro have won five of their last ten aways and shouldn’t be underestimated.
Result: TPS took the lead, but Jaro won 3-1. Fail.
Recommendation: lay both the away teams.
nPower Championship Play Off, 1st Leg
Nottingham Forest v Swansea
Lay 0-0 (only two of the last 20 league games in the Midlands between these two have been goalless) and back Swansea NOT to keep a clean sheet.
Result: 0-0, but strangely enough I don’t mind taking the hit. If you didn’t see it, Swansea were down to ten men after 90 seconds but managed to cope with Forest. Pregame I thought that if they could pull off a draw they’d be in the box seat for the final and having done so in such dramatic circumstances is more than impressive.
